It is early in the season for any team to complete a season series, but this cross-conference game will be the final time Ja Morant and company will take on Ben Simmons and his Brooklyn team. In the first game Brooklyn entered the fourth quarter with just a one point lead before clamping down on defense and running away with its first and only road win of the season. Denis Schroder led the way with 33 points and eight assists on 6-9 shooting from three. Cam Thomas went 10-11 from the free-throw line in a game where he shot poorly from the field to help ice the win.

Brooklyn is on a two game winning streak heading into this game which started with the first win over Memphis. Last season Brooklyn was able to string together three straight wins just four times last season. They look to continue exceeding expectations early in the season with their first three game winning streak.

Jaren Jackson Jr. led Memphis in the loss with a season-high 30 points shooting 10-12 from the field. Morant continued his impressive playmaking with another double-double. His 14 points and 10 assists were just one of five double-doubles this season for the former All-Star.

Rookie Zach Eddy finished with 13 points, Brandon Clarke added 13 points off the bench and Desmond Bane chipped in 10 points before leaving the game early with an injury that will keep him out of this game.
