The Grizzlies have lost four games in a row and seven of their last 10. Even then, Memphis is 38-24 on the season overall and fourth in the Western Conference standings. Losers of three consecutive games, the Mavericks are 4-16 in their last 10 and have fallen to No. 10 in the West. Dallas is 32-31 on the season and is in jeopardy of being just .500 at the end of tonight if this ends up being a loss.

Since trading away Luka Doncic, everything has gone downhill for Dallas. Anthony Davis has only suited up for one game, Kyrie Irving is out for the season and several other key pieces are also facing injuries. As such, it will be a very depleted roster for the Mavs yet again tonight. The Grizzlies will be without Jaren Jackson Jr. in this contest, but they will still be the more talented team. A win would be huge for Memphis, especially if earning home court advantage is still a priority. 

Following this contest, the Grizzlies will continue their road trip with a game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Mavericks remain at home to host the Phoenix Suns for their next contest.
