The shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies take on LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers for the second time this season on Wednesday.
The Memphis Grizzlies (7-4) head into this Western Conference showdown with the Los Angeles Lakers (6-4) riding a three game winning streak. Memphis has also won five of the last six games including a win over Los Angeles despite injuries starting to pile up again. Head coach Taylor Jenkins has Memphis playing good team basketball while 60% of the starting lineup heals up from early season injuries. Ja Morant (hip), Desmond Bane (oblique) and Marcus Smart (ankle) have all missed time and are listed week-to-week to start the third week of the NBA season. That creates opportunities for Jaren Jackson Jr. and Santi Aldama to stay afloat in a very competitive Western Conference.
