This season Edwards has evolved as a shooter leading the league in made three-pointers per game and one of just four players making at least 4.0 three-pointers per game on at least 45% shooting.

    In 14 games against Portland in Edward’s career he is averaging 27.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game on 49-42-73 shooting splits. The nearly 28 points per game is far and away Edward’s best points per game average against a team he has played at least 10 games against in his career.

    Minnesota also got 22 points, six rebounds and four assists from Julius Randle, 15 points and four rebounds from Naz Reid and 14 points and seven assists from Donte DiVincenzo in the win.

    For Portland no player registered more than 16 points in the loss. Scoot Henderson came off the bench for 16 points, four rebounds and three assists to lead three players in double-figures on the second unit along with Robert Williams (13 points) and Dalano Banton (12 points). Only two starters registered double-figures in Anfernee Simons with 14 points and Jerami Grant with 12 points.
