Live from Brooklyn, New York, the 2025 NBA Draft will kick-off on Wednesday night with Round 1.

On Wednesday, the first round of the 2026 NBA Draft from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York will get underway. This is a time when dreams become reality, as players from all over the world become members of the greatest basketball association on the planet. The No. 1 prospect in the 2026 NBA Draft is Duke freshman Cooper Flagg. Flagg, who has long been a top prospect, averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game last season with the Duke Blue Devils. On top of Flagg, Duke also has Khaman Malauch and Kon Kneuppel as potential lottery picks.

After trading Luka Doncic to the Lakers during last season, Nico Harrison and the Dallas Mavericks have the No. 1 pick. They will be followed by the San Antonio Spurs, Philadelphia 76ers, Charlotte Hornets, and Utah Jazz to round out the first five picks of the draft. The Spurs, Washington Wizards, Atlanta Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder all have two picks in the first round.

The Brooklyn Nets have three first round picks at No. 19, 26, and 27. Outside of the Duke trio, Rutgers also has two potential lottery picks this year in guard Dylan Harper and forward Ace Bailey. Baylor’s VJ Edgecombe and Texas’ Tre Johnson are also projected to be top-five picks in this year’s draft.

Noa Essengue is the highest-ranked non-collegiate prospect, coming from France. He is followed by fellow French prospect Joan Beringer and Nolan Traoré. Spain’s Hugo González is in the mix as well. You will not want to miss the prospect your favorite team drafts in the first round tonight. The second round will follow on Thursday night.
