The Indiana Pacers go for their fourth win in a row as they face off against the Brooklyn Nets for the final time this season on Saturday.

The Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets play each other in back-to-back games when they meet for the final time this season on Saturday. If it is anything like their Thursday matchup, we should be in for a real treat. The Pacers won that game 105-99 in overtime to take a 2-1 series lead. The first two games of this series were in Brooklyn and the teams split those matchups. This game once again will be in Indianapolis with the Pacers still trying to gain ground on the New York Knicks. Indiana is now only three games back of New York for the third spot in the Eastern Conference standings. Indiana has won five of its last six games and will go for its fourth win in a row tonight. The Pacers once again will be notable favorites in this one but Brooklyn has shown its tenacity against Indiana all season.

The Pacers won on Thursday on the shoulders of Bennedict Mathurin who scored a game-high 28 points. He scored six of those in overtime to give the edge to the Pacers. If that wasn’t impressive enough, Mathurin collected a career-high 16 rebounds. Myles Turner had a strong night as well adding 23 points with 10 rebounds and five blocks. Both teams struggled shooting with Indiana particularly from behind the arc. But the Pacers defense was strong holding Brooklyn to shooting just 35.6 percent from the field. Indiana was down 10 at half only scoring 42 but turned it around drastically in the second half. The Pacers were without Tyrese Haliburton who is experiencing lower back pain. It is his third missed game and he is listed as a game-time decision for this matchup.

Ziaire Williams and D’Angelo Russell both led the Nets with each scoring 22 points. Brooklyn shot just 28 percent from three. One of the biggest headlines of the game was when tempers flared over between Myles Turner and Trendon Watford resulting in double technicals, with Watford eventually getting ejected from the game. Brooklyn will need that same intensity channeled elsewhere to bounce back quickly and win this series. The Nets have lost four of their last five games and look to avoid losing three straight.
