The Indiana Pacers look to go up in this season series against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday. Watch for free on Fubo.

The Indiana Pacers go for their third win in a row when they host the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night. Indiana has won four of its last five games while the Nets are on an opposite trajectory losing four of their last five. The Pacers will be 8.5-point favorites at home tonight and look to take a 2-1 season series lead over Brooklyn. The Pacers are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference trying to whittle down the New York Knicks’ four-game lead for third. Indiana beat Brooklyn back at the beginning of the new year by 14 on the road to even the series. Tyrese Haliburton led the way with 23 points in a game that wasn’t really close after the first quarter. They’ll be expected to have a similar result tonight. Can they live up to the billing?

The Pacers are playing on back-to-back nights beating the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday by a 135-131 final. Pascal Siakam had a game-high 29 points with Bennedict Mathurin scoring 23 points. Mathurin scored 16 of those points in the fourth to lift the Pacers over the Mavericks. Indiana really needed it because they trailed by 11 points in the fourth with less than six minutes to go. Indiana looked complacent getting down that much after leading most of the game. They can’t afford to do that against this Brooklyn team that isn’t dealing with as many injuries as the Mavericks.

The Nets have played the Boston Celtics twice in their last three games and have lost both times. Brooklyn was close to pulling off the upset in the first game on Saturday but lost by two. Brooklyn also lost to Boston on Tuesday 104-96 on the road in its last game. D’Angelo Russell led the Nets with 18 points but Brooklyn couldn’t overcome a game-high 25 by Kristaps Porzingis. Brooklyn led at half and kept it close but Boston pulled away in the fourth to sweep the season series 4-0. The Nets should still be able to keep it close tonight.
