A surprise team emerging in the East this season has been the Pistons, who are 43-36 despite losing two games in a row. They’ve gone just .500 over their last 10 games, so Detroit could really use a momentum builder tonight ahead of the postseason.

Both of these teams have star talent, especially at the point guard position. New York is led by Jalen Brunson, who has proven he can lead an elite team throughout a season. Cade Cunningham runs the show for Detroit, but is still coming into his own and learning on the fly as part of a good team. From there, both rosters have quite a few other very good players who can flip the script on a game with what they can do on both ends.

Following this contest, the Knicks will play on the second night of a back-to-back on Friday against the Cleveland Cavaliers, which will be a battle between the two of the Eastern Conference’s best. Meanwhile, the Pistons will also play two games in as many nights, with a contest against the Milwaukee Bucks taking place on Friday.
