Can the San Antonio Spurs pull above .500 at home on the season Wednesday in a game against the New York Knicks?
The San Antonio Spurs are set to host the New York Knicks Wednesday at Frost Bank Center, as two teams battling injuries take the floor. Despite these two teams having very different records, this game could go either way.
The Knicks are currently third in the Eastern Conference with a record of 43-24 on the season. They’ve only won six of their last 10 games as they navigate injuries, but overall New York is still one of the best teams in the NBA.
At 28-39, the Spurs are likely out of the postseason picture at this point, but certainly took a step forward overall in the 2024-25 campaign. San Antonio is 17-17 at home this season, which is something to consider entering today.

San Antonio is now without both Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox for the rest of the season, as both have suffered injuries that cut their 2024-25 campaign short. Even then, they’ve had others step up to keep the team competitive overall. New York has been without Jalen Brunson for several games now, which has required the team to get creative in generating offense. Karl Anthony-Towns has been great of late, really stepping up in his absence offensively.
Following this contest, the Spurs will remain at home to host the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night. Meanwhile, the Knicks will travel to Charlotte to take on the Hornets Thursday on the second night of a back-to-back.
Regional restrictions may apply.
