De’Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings host Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder in an All-Star showdown on Monday.

The Oklahoma City Thunder (12-4) bounced back after losing back-to-back games for just the 10th time in the last 108 games between the regular season and the playoffs. Oklahoma City allowed less than 100 points for the eighth time this season, going 8-0 in those games. That defense will be tested against the Sacramento Kings (8-9) on Monday in the first game of a four-game road trip. Sacramento has lost three straight games and four of the last five, falling all the way down to 12th in the Western Conference. This rough patch still has seen All-Star De’Aaron Fox average 39.4 points and 7.0 assists per game. Fox and Sacramento will have to overcome arguably the best defense in the NBA to get back on track here.

Last season Fox was electric against Oklahoma City, averaging 29.7 points and 6.0 assists per game in three games. Sacramento lost two of those three games, but the win came with Fox going for 41 points and seven assists, splashing home five three-pointers.

Through 16 games Oklahoma City has allowed zero players to get to 40 or more points and only two players have scored 30 or more points against this defense. Those two players were Steph Curry (36 points) in a loss and Norman Powell (31 points) in a win.

In Oklahoma City’s last gameit turned the defensive screws against the Portland Trail Blazers, allowing just 69 points through three quarters in a 109-99 win. Isaiah Hartenstein debuted off the bench with 13 points, 14 rebounds, four blocks and three assists. He looked excellent in his first game with the team after missing the first 15 games due to a hand injury.
