Normal service resumes in the NBA this weekend following a league-wide break for All-Star Weekend, and the Oklahoma City Thunder will make its comeback on the road to the Utah Jazz. First will face last in the Northwest Division as OKC looks to continue its charge towards the Western Conference throne, while Utah is simply hoping to scrape what positives it can from what could still be its worst season in franchise history. The Thunder have won the last three straight meetings between these two teams and stand on the verge of completing their first clean sweep of Utah since the 2018/19 campaign.

Both sides are coming off the back of defeats suffered just prior to the recent respite, with the Jazz falling to the LA Clippers in overtime back on Feb. 13.

Head coach Will Hardy has Utah on an improved 3-5 record so far this month, including its first winning home record in any month to date this season (3-2).  

The Thunder, meanwhile, embarked on yet another miraculous winning run after starting February with a stretch of seven victories on the bounce.

However, the franchise went into the All-Star break on a bit of a low after losing on the road to Minnesota, where three different Timberwolves players finished with 21 points or more:

Anthony Edwards, Naz Reid and Jaden McDaniels were in electric form to lead that charge, offering a challenge Utah may struggle to replicate on Friday. 

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dropped 54 points the last time these teams squared off in January, not to mention also leading Oklahoma City in rebounds (eight) and assists (five) that night.
