A pair of Eastern Conference foes will clash tonight as the Cleveland Cavaliers host the Orlando Magic at Rocket Arena.

The Cavaliers have won 16 games in a row, continuing what has been a dominant regular season to this point. They’re 56-10 on the season and 30-4 at home. Cleveland doesn’t have much else to prove as it relates to regular season action, but will still push for a win today to keep the streak alive. 

At 31-37, the Magic are eighth in the Eastern Conference and currently looking at a Play-In Tournament appearance. They’ve lost seven of their last 10 games and have really struggled following a solid start to the season, mostly due to injuries.

There’s no question that Orlando has the talent to be one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference, but this season has been full of misfortune. Both the Magic’s top players, Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, have missed significant time. Even then, there’s a chance this roster can get back on track in the final few weeks of the regular season and make a splash in the playoffs if they get in. Cleveland is simply dominant, so earning a victory today will be a tough task for Orlando. That’s especially true given the Magic will be on the road where they’re 13-21 on the season.

Following this contest, the Cavaliers will head out west to take on the LA Clippers on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Magic will have two days off before hosting the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.
