Philadelphia has time to get on track and salvage the season. They have the star power, talent and coaching. However, the manner in which they have lost this season might be cause for concern. Eight of Philadelphia’s losses have come by double digits, while its only two wins have come in overtime.

Memphis crushed Philadelphia the first time the teams played this season. In the 124-107 win the bench came up huge, led by Jay Huff with 20 points, five rebounds and five three-pointers and Scottie Pippen Jr. with 12 points and 13 assists.

Once Memphis took control and started to run away with the game it gave rookie Jared McCain the minutes to shine. This was McCain’s initial introduction to the league with 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field in just 17 minutes. Since that game McCain has averaged 19.8 points per game with three starts over nine games.
