The Detroit Pistons are playing some of their best basketball in decades when they travel to take on the LA Clippers on Wednesday.

The Detroit Pistons try to sweep this season series on Wednesday night against the LA Clippers. This is all while the Clippers try to get back on track and avoid losing four games in a row. LA has also lost six of their last seven games. Detroit has won four of its last five games and 10 of its last 11 games. Detroit is playing its best basketball in more than a decade. The Pistons haven’t won 10 of their last 11 games since the 2007-08 season. The Pistons go for their third win in a row, and with this winning streak, they are firmly in sixth place in the East. The Clippers should be slight favorites at home, but Detroit has the much hotter hand right now and could easily get this road upset.

The Pistons are coming off a 134-106 win against the Utah Jazz on Monday. Detroit shot 55.4 percent from the field despite struggling from three at 26.8 percent. The Pistons dominated for most of the game after a 21-6 run in the first quarter. Cade Cunningham led the charge with 29 points and nine assists. Detroit was already up 17 points when the Pistons went on a 14-2 run in the fourth quarter to widen the blowout.

LA is back home finally after a tough eight-game road trip where it went just 2-6. The Clippers are coming off one of their toughest losses of that trip, losing to the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night, 119-117. LA was up 23 points at its peak, but the Suns rallied under the leadership of Kevin Durant, who led Phoenix with 34 points. The loss overshadowed a great game from Ivica Zubac, who scored a game-high 35 points. With the loss, LA dropped to ninth place in the Western Conference after holding the sixth spot for quite some time. Playing on back-to-back nights and against a hot team isn’t going to be the homecoming the Clippers were hoping for.
