On Thursday night the Golden State Warriors (40-29) wrap up a seven game homestand when they welcome the Toronto Raptors (24-25) to the Chase Center. It’s been a successful stretch for the Warriors so far. They’ve won five of the first six games. The lone loss came on Monday to the Denver Nuggets, but Steve Kerr’s team bounced back with a 104-93 win over the Milwaukee Bucks last time out on Tuesday. Jimmy Butler was the Warriors’ leading scorer with 24 points. Butler got to the line 11 times and hit every free throw. He also nearly had a triple-double, with 10 assists and eight rebounds.

Butler has continued to play at a high level since being traded to the Warriors from the Miami Heat ahead of this year’s trade deadline. In 17 games Butler is averaging 17.2 points, 6.1 assists, and 5.9 rebounds per game.
Toronto is wrapping up a four game Western Conference road trip with this game. The Raptors won the first game of the trip beating the Utah Jazz last Friday, then lost to the Portland Trail Blazers and Phoenix Suns in the last two games. The Raptors have been off since facing the Suns on Monday.
This is the second matchup of the year between the Raptors and Suns. In the first meeting of the year in Toronto back in mid-January, the Raptors won a close one 104-101.
