The Rockets are healthy at this point while Detroit didn’t have center Jalen Duren on Friday night because of an ankle injury and has not had wings Ausar Thompson (illness/conditioning) or Bobi Klintman (calf) yet this season.

Cade Cunningham hit a hook shot in traffic with 8.5 seconds left on Friday, lifting the Pistons to a 122-121 win over the visiting Atlanta Hawks. Cunningham posted his third straight triple-double, finishing with 22 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds, while Tobias Harris and Malik Beasley also had 22 points each. Isaiah Stewart, starting in place of Duren, put up 10 points and 11 rebounds.

A disastrous defensive second quarter doomed Houston in a 126-107 thumping by the host Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night. OKC hung 44 on the Rockets in the period, hitting 14-of-20 overall and 6-of-8 from long range to take a 75-51 halftime edge. Dillon Brooks led Houston with 17 points while Jalen Green and Amen Thompson dropped 14 apiece.

Cunningham averages 22.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 7.2 assists for Detroit, with Jaden Ivey putting up 19.6 points per game. Duren was averaging 9.7 rebounds before his injury. Green’s 21.7 points a night leads Houston, with Alperen Sengun averaging 15.8 points and 11.1 rebounds. Fred VanVleet books 13.9 points and 5.7 assists per outing.
