The Mavericks will be playing on back-to-back nights against the two best teams in the West. At least the Mavs are back at home, but Houston is still the -10.5-point favorite to grab this road win.

Thompson led all scorers with 31 points. Houston shot impressively at 59 percent from the field, and an amazing 56 percent from three. Phoenix led briefly in the second quarter, but the Rockets took over in the second half to cruise to victory. Durant’s decision to join Houston in the offseason is looking better and better every day.

OKC cruised to victory over its border-state rival on Friday, by a 132-111 final to take a 2-0 season series lead. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was as prolific as ever, scoring 33 points in just three quarters to lead all scorers. It was the Thunder’s 14th win in a row. Dallas was tied after one quarter, but the Mavs were outscored by 15 in the second and the Thunder never looked back. Jaden Hardy led the Mavericks with 23 points. There will be absolutely no rest for the weary against the Rockets tonight.
