The Indiana Pacers go for their fifth win in a row when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday. The Pacers will also go for the 2-0 season series sweep after beating Minnesota 132-130 in overtime just last week. Anthony Edwards went off in that game with 38 points and Obi Toppin had 34 points for the Pacers. Rudy Gobert and Andrew Nembhard got ejected after a hard foul and a scuffle in the third quarter. Toppin hit four three pointers in overtime and the last one went in with just 3.5 seconds left to secure the win for the Pacers. The win for Indiana ended Minnesota’s eight-game winning streak at the time.

Indiana is coming off back-to-back wins against the Brooklyn Nets. The Pacers first won on Thursday in overtime. The rematch kicked off on Saturday with Indiana winning 108-103 at home. Pascal Siakam was clutch in the final minutes, scoring eight of his game-high 26 points with less than four minutes left in regulation. Myles Turner was right behind Siakam with 22 points while making five three pointers. The Pacers are trying to keep pace in the Eastern Conference standings with Milwaukee just a game back for the fourth seed. Indiana is going for its first homecourt advantage series since 2014.
Minnesota is coming off back-to-back games against the New Orleans Pelicans. After dropping the first game at home on Wednesday, the Timberwolves bounced back by crushing the Pelicans 134-93 on Friday. Julius Randle scored 20 points with six rebounds and five assists to lead the Timberwolves, who almost outscored New Orleans by 30 in the second half. Minnesota won the series 2-1 in the finale and avoided dropping back-to-back games against one of the worst teams in the league.
