In a matchup between two Eastern Conference foes, the Orlando Magic will host the Toronto Raptors tonight at Kia Center. These two squads matched up on Sunday night, with the Raptors getting a two-point victory in a close game. As such, this will be the second time in three days that these teams will face off. The Raptors are 3-7 in their last 10 games, falling to 19-42 on the season overall. They’re currently No. 13 in the Eastern Conference standings and likely out of the postseason race. Toronto has won only six games on the road this season, which is something to consider entering today.

At 29-33 on the season, the Magic could really use a win today. They’re 18-14 at home this season, but have lost three consecutive games. Injuries have hit Orlando hard this season, but this team is still firmly in the postseason picture and has the talent to make noise beyond the regular season. 

The Magic are headlined by the dynamic duo of Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero, who both can score 30 points on any given night. It’s all about keeping those two healthy for the rest of the season if Orlando is going to climb in the standings. Toronto has quite a bit of young talent, but need to figure out how all of the pieces fit. Don’t be surprised if the Raptors are able to start playing more competitive basketball next season with another season of experience for the young players on the roster. 

Following this contest, the Raptors will head back home to host the Utah Jazz on Friday night. Meanwhile, the Magic will remain in Orlando to take on the Chicago Bulls on Thursday.
