The Los Angeles Clippers look for their first home win in their new arena when they host the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
The Los Angeles Clippers were three points away from starting the season 3-0 and that is even without Kawhi Leonard suiting up. The team looks to keep up its good start to the season when it hosts the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday. The Clippers are coming back to the newly built Intuit Dome after two games on the road that they won. Their most recent game came against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday with a 112-104 final. Los Angeles was able to hold on after Steph Curry left the game for Golden State with a left ankle injury. Andrew Wiggins led the game with 29 points, but it was Ivica Zubac scoring 23 that held off the Warriors to spoil their home opener. LA tries to win their first home game at the Intuit Dome tonight after falling just short against the Phoenix Suns in overtime last week.

The Trail Blazers are trying to win their first away game of the season. Portland has started the season 1-3 and are coming off a 111-98 loss against the Sacramento Kings on Monday. Deandre Ayton led the team with 20 points, but it was not enough to overcome 24 from De’Aaron Fox, who surpassed 10,000 points for his career in the game. There were times when the game go close, but Sacramento never trailed after starting the game on a 7-0 run.
Portland will need to get off to a much quicker start if it is going to pull off this upset and earn its first road win of the season.
