The Miami Heat (23-22) have rallied around the players that want to be on the team, winning back-to-back games. Miami looks to make it three wins in a row against the Eastern Conference leading Cleveland Cavaliers (37-9) on Wednesday before a four-game road trip. That road trip leads right to the trade deadline. This is the second game of the season between the teams, with Miami winning the first matchup in early December. In that game Miami made 16 three-pointers led by Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson who combined to shoot 9-for-15 from deep. Over the last three games Herro has taken over the offense on the perimeter and led Miami during Jimmy Butler’s suspension.

Over the last three games Herro has averaged 25.3 points and 9.6 assists per game. Miami is coming off a double-overtime thriller where Herro led the team with 30 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds.

Cleveland is coming off a win that snapped the team’s longest losing streak of the season. They lost three games in a row by a combined eight total points. Darius Garland led six Cleveland players in double-figures with 22 points to get the team back in the win column. 

Garland also led Cleveland with 23 points in the first game against Miami. The bench came up big with 57 points in the loss. Georges Niang (15 points), Ty Jerome (14 points), Caris LaVert (13 points) and Sam Merrill (10 points) all came off the bench to score in double-figures in the first game of the season against Miami.
