The NBA In-Season Tournament games this week have started the week off with only four games in two days, setting most fantasy managers back. There is a full slate of games today to make up ground in your league.
The rest of this week is wonky as well with Thursday and Saturday featuring the semifinals and finals of the tournament. Sunday is another dead day in the NBA with no games on the schedule.
It is all about Wednesday and Friday’s slate of games in fantasy basketball.

As with every week this season, these are all players that are rostered on less than 50% of Yahoo Fantasy Hoops Leagues at the moment. The start to the week with the In-Season Tournament limited fantasy managers with only four games, making the waiver wire all the more important.
Let’s start by looking at players active in the tournament worth picking up to steal points on Thursday and Saturday while the rest of the league is inactive.
When selecting a streamer this week go with a player that you feel can advance to the Finals on Saturday. That will give you two days of games where your opponent might have zero points on those days.
In-Season Tournament Players
Indiana Pacers – Aaron Nesmith (15% Rostered)
Semifinal Game: Milwaukee Bucks
Over the last two games Nesmith has totaled 34 points, five rebounds, five made three-pointers and two blocks. He also shot 13-19 overall from the field in those two games. Milwaukee is one of the worst defenses in the NBA, setting up Nesmith and every Indiana Pacers player up for big games.
Nesmith can play both forward positions so if you want to keep him past the tournament this week he could be a good deep bench option. Bennedict Mathurin (49%) is another Indiana opinion.
Los Angeles Lakers – Tauren Prince (10% Rostered)
Semifinal Game: New Orleans Pelicans
Before last game Prince had made multiple three-pointers in four straight games. He has five steals and nine rebounds in the last two games chipping in across multiple categories.
The rest of Los Angeles is hit or miss with how head coach Darvin Ham sets his rotation, playing 5-7 players major minutes.
Milwaukee Bucks – Cameron Payne (3% Rostered)
Semifinal Game: Indiana Pacers
The Milwaukee bench is not bringing much to the table with injuries, but Payne has been strong for the past two games. He has totaled 30 points, five rebounds, four assists and four three-pointers while shooting 12-17 from the field.
Indiana played inspired defense in the knockout stage, but all season they have been a shootout team opening the door for Payne to come in and pick-up double-figure points for a third straight game.

New Orleans Pelicans – Jose Alvarado (4% Rostered)
Semifinal Game: Los Angeles Lakers
The positives that Alvarado brings to the table are steals, three-pointers and the potential to fill up the statsheet if he is playing well. The negative for adding Grand Theft Alvarado is that the New Orleans Pelicans are so deep that he could also finish with 10 minutes and very few counting stats to help your team.
Jordan Hawkins (17%) is another New Orleans option with his shooting ability from three. Both guards are in a deep rotation with C.J. McCollum and Dyson Daniels who also play a key role.
Wednesday and Friday Games
Guards
Reggie Jackson (42% Rostered)
Two Games: @ Los Angeles Clippers (Wednesday) and Houston Rockets (Friday)
Over the last two weeks Jackson has effectively been 18 points per game on 54% shooting. Last week he averaged 4.7 assists and 1.7 rebounds per game making 2.3 three-pointers per game.
With or without Jamal Murray in the lineup Jackson has proved his value as the leader of the bench who can be trusted to play with the starters.
Lu Dort (28% Rostered)
Two Games: @ Houston Rockets (Wednesday) and Golden State Warriors (Friday)
Over his last two games Dort has totaled 22 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and three STOCKS.
He started the season as a reliable shooter and has since settled into a role in Oklahoma City as a player that can fill up the statsheet nightly and will consistently get multiple open looks from three throughout the game.

Killian Hayes (28% Rostered)
Two Games: Memphis Grizzlies (Wednesday) and @ Orlando Magic (Friday)
Despite the losing in Detroit, Hayes has played well over the past two games. He totaled 36 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and five total STOCKS. He is also shooting with efficiency going 16/24 from the field.
Forwards
Jeremy Sochan (48% Rostered)
Two Games: @ Minnesota Timberwolves (Wednesday) and Chicago Bulls (Friday)
Sochan has played really well over his last two games totaling 46 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. The shooting is the most intriguing with Sochan making five three-pointers and shooting 16/27 overall from the field.
If those numbers are sustainable in the short-term, Sochan is a great find for two games at the end of your bench.
Talen Horton-Tucker (15% Rostered)
Two Games: @ Dallas Mavericks (Wednesday) and Los Angeles Clippers (Friday)
This one is a gut feeling and a flier for the end of the bench. Horton-Tucker went six straight games of below average numbers before going for 14 points, four assists, three steals and three made three-pointers in his last game.

He plays against two bad defenses that do not have great point of attack defenders that could give Horton-Tucker opportunities to score and create this week.
Robert Covington (12% Rostered)
Two Games: @ Washington Wizards (Wednesday) and Atlanta Hawks (Friday)
Covington might see his role dip some with Kelly Oubre Jr. back in the lineup, but over his last two games he has shown his value while the stars missed time. He has totaled 30 points, 12 rebounds, seven STOCKS and seven made three-pointers.
Those numbers might dip some with Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey and Oubre Jr. in the lineup, but his minutes should remain as an active defender and shooter.
Centers
Mo Wagner (31% Rostered)
Two Games: @ Cleveland Cavaliers (Wednesday) and Detroit Pistons (Friday)
This week could be a very important one for one of the best back-up centers in the league. He takes on two teams with good big men that could open up a lot of opportunities for Wagner to play bigger minutes.
Over the last two weeks Wagner has effectively been 16 points and four rebounds on 65% shooting from the field.

Dario Saric (38% Rostered)
Two Games: Portland Trail Blazers (Wednesday) and @ Oklahoma City Thunder (Friday)
Saric is coming off his worst game in six games overall, but before that had registered double-figure scoring in five straight games. He has also averaged 9.5 points, 4.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game last week.
Kevin Love (10% Rostered)
Two Games: @ Toronto Raptors (Wednesday) and Cleveland Cavaliers (Friday)
Over the last four games for Love he has two games with double-figure rebounds (29 total), two games with 2+ made three-pointers (five total) and 17 total assists.
Love also is reliably efficient going 8/9 from the free-throw line and 10/22 from the field.
Specialists
THREE-POINTERS Tim Hardaway Jr. (46% Rostered)
Two Games: Utah Jazz (Wednesday) and @ Portland Trail Blazers (Friday)
If Hardaway Jr. is somehow available in your league, scoop him up immediately. He has made 2+ three-pointers in all but one game this season and 3+ three-pointers in 12 games.

ASSISTS Kyle Anderson (30% Rostered)
Two Games: San Antonio Spurs (Wednesday) and @ Memphis Grizzlies (Friday)
Anderson is a reliable playmaker for Minnesota who can also provide double-figure scoring, steals and blocks. He is coming off his best assists week averaging 5.0 and has averaged at least 3.7 per game every week this season.
BLOCKS Bismack Biyombo (17% Rostered)
Two Games: @ Detroit Pistons (Wednesday) and Minnesota Timberwolves (Friday)
Over the last three games Biyombo has blocked eight shots, at least two in every game. He also adds sneaky value as a rebounder and gets assists from the center position.
