A pair of Eastern Conference playoff teams will match up as the New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks take the floor.

In a Friday night contest at Fiserv Forum, the Milwaukee Bucks will host the New York Knicks. This will be a game that could impact the final conference standings, so it comes with potential stakes.

The Knicks are third in the Eastern Conference with a record of 45-27, although they’ve gone just .500 over their past 10 games. Assuming New York can close out the season strong, that No. 3 seed should be easy to maintain heading into the final standings for the playoffs.

A few spots behind them in the standings at No. 6 in the East is the Bucks, who are 40-32 at this point. They’ve lost six of their last 10 and have slipped over the past few weeks, but are still a team with plenty of talent. Milwaukee needs a strong close to the season to build momentum heading into the postseason.

Milwaukee is expected to be without Damian Lillard for the foreseeable future with a blood clot issue. As such, it will be up to Kyle Kuzma to step up and be a bonafide second option alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo to close out the season. Luckily for New York, defenders with size and length are a strength, so the Knicks should be well-equipped to match up with the Bucks defensively tonight. Regardless, Antetokounmpo is the type of talent who can take over and dominate a game on any given night.

Following this contest, the Knicks will head back home to host the Portland Trail Blazers, which could end up being a tough test on Sunday night. Meanwhile, the Bucks remain in Milwaukee as their next contest will be against an Eastern Conference foe, the Atlanta Hawks.
