The Heat finished the regular season campaign as the eighth-place team in the Eastern Conference standings, courtesy of an overall record of 46-36. The team, on a two-game winning streak, got both of the victories against the Toronto Raptors. Miami won the first outing in the back-to-back 125-103, led by 22 points from Nikola Jović. Jaime Jaquez Jr. added 20 points and nine assists of his own, while Bam Adebayo had 19 points, six rebounds and three assists.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia heads into the meeting on an eight-game winning streak, which includes a 109-105 finish over the Heat on April 4. Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid led the Sixers with 37 and 29 points, respectively.
