In the win for Denver Jokic went off for 35 points and 16 rebounds, shooting 14-22 from the field. He played off of his teammates, becoming a scorer rather than a playmaker to wear down the Minnesota defense.
Jamal Murray (18 points and 11 assists) and Aaron Gordon (14 points and 11 rebounds) finished with double-doubles while Michael Porter Jr. went 4-7 from three, scoring 26 points. This game could be the most important this season for both teams, giving one the season-series lead with just one more game between them left in the regular season.
Minnesota was led by Edwards in the loss with 30 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. They clawed back into the game despite Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert both not active in the lineup. Gobert is back to defend Jokic and give Minnesota a better opportunity to take the season-series lead.
