Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves go for the series sweep against the Phoenix Suns today in Game 4 today.
The Minnesota Timberwolves (3-0) have the opportunity to be the first team to punch their ticket into the second round of the NBA playoffs today. With a win they will pull off the sweep over the Phoenix Suns (0-3), who went all-in this season with Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. Despite those three all-stars and elite scorers, Phoenix is on the brink of elimination to a Minnesota team that has been at or near the top of the standings in the Western Conference all season. Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert have Minnesota on the brink of winning just their third playoff series in franchise history and the first since the 2004 season.

In the first three games of this series Minnesota has been a force winning all three games by double-figures and by a combined 54 total points. They are allowing just 99.0 points per game to a much hyped Phoenix offense that cannot seem to get off the blocks in this series.
That is in large part due to the play of Edwards, Gobert and Jaden McDaniels on both ends of the floor. Through three games Edwards has been the anchor of the offense averaging 28.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game while Gobert is averaging a double-double with 17.0 points and 13.0 rebounds per game.
On the defensive end that group has held Phoenix to just 45% shooting as a team. Durant has not been as efficient, shooting 50-33-84 this series with McDaniels serving as a shadow not letting one of the greatest scorers of all-time get off clean, efficient shots this series. Now Phoenix is one loss away from an off-season with far more questions than answers.
