How to Watch Atalanta vs. Liverpool: Stream Europa League Live, TV Channel

Liverpool sits on the verge of a disastrous Europa League departure unless it can pull off a mighty comeback on the road to Atalanta.

A disastrous week of soccer has left Liverpool staring at the prospect of ending this season trophy-less, traveling to Atalanta in the Europa League and requiring a historic comeback to preserve its title hopes. In no time at all, Jurgen Klopp’s side have seen their prospects dwindle following a shock 3-0 loss at home to La Dea in last week’s home leg, followed by another stunning home defeat to Crystal Palace in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Gian Piero Gasperini’s men are all of a sudden looking like potential favorites to claim Europe’s second-tier title this term and need only lose by two goals or fewer (or better) to reach the semi-finals.

European soccer was stunned into silence when Atalanta came away from Anfield with a first-leg win in last week’s quarter-final opening salvo.

However, it wasn’t just the result but the sheer scale of the triumph that shocked the masses, with Klopp left livid with his under-performing team after failing to reach their usual levels on home soil.

And it was a pair of Premier League rejects who did the damage, with former West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca converting twice before ex-Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic added a third late on:

That marked the second time in as many visits to Anfield that Atalanta has come out on top, though it’s worth noting Liverpool emerged a 5-0 winner in its only previous trip to the Gewiss Stadium.

A Diogo Jota hat-trick marked the occasion in style, and the Portugal winger should be recalled to Klopp’s XI here after settling for substitute cameos in Liverpool’s most recent disappointments.

Conor Bradley was forced off in the loss to Palace and won’t be available here, meaning a fit-again Trent Alexander-Arnold is the natural selection to come back in at right-back.

Elsewhere, Giorgio Scalvini and ex-Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac are the only absences for Gasperini, who could name an identical line-up to the one that celebrated on Merseyside.

Regional restrictions may apply.
