During this three-game winning streak for San Antonio, the longest of the season for the team, the team is playing its best basketball since early in the season. Wembanyama is coming off a monster 40-point, 20-rebound and seven-assist performance to upset the New York Knicks in overtime.

The last time these teams played earlier in the month Golden State won 112-102 after falling behind eight points in the first quarter. Curry was not in the lineup for the win, leaving Jonathan Kuminga (22 points), Klay Thompson (21 points) and Chris Paul (19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists) to run the show.

Wembanyama went for 27 points and 14 rebounds in the loss. That was one of 39 double-doubles this season as he continues to build the resume for a Rookie of the Year win that would be the third in San Antonio franchise history.
