Virginia Tech (25-7) were able to advance in the first round despite missing three-time ACC Player of the Year Elizabeth Kitley in the NCAA Tournament. Now they face an even tougher challenge in fifth-seeded Baylor (25-7) as senior Georgia Amoore looks to lead her fourth-seeded Hokies to the Sweet 16 for a second straight season. The Hokies cruised to a 92-49 win in the first round over Marshall with five players around Amoore finishing in double-figures scoring while the senior only went for nine points and four assists with the defense focused on her without Kitley in the lineup. She will need a bigger game today to beat a team the caliber of the Bears.
