After a loss to No. 8 LSU last week, the Razorbacks are now 4-3 overall with a 2-2 mark in conference play this season. Arkansas is also an even 1-1 on the road this season, with three of their four wins coming at home. The Bulldogs, on the other hand, have lost six consecutive games to fall to 1-6 overall and have yet to win a game in SEC play this season (0-4). Mississippi State is also 1-3 at home at Davis Wade Stadium. Mississippi State has won two-straight games over Arkansas, including a 7-3 victory last season.

Most recently, Arkansas battled with No. 8 LSU in a 34-10 loss to the Tigers in the 70th meeting between the two teams last week. Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green threw for 240 yards and a touchdown in the loss while Caden Durham had a team-high 101 rushing yards and three scores for the Tigers. Green was intercepted once and sacked three times by the LSU defense.
As for Mississippi State, the Bulldogs lost their sixth consecutive game to No. 14 Texas A&M in a 34-24 loss in Starkville. True freshman quarterback Michael Van Buren Jr. threw for 242 yards and three tocuhdowns in his first home start. However, the Aggies pulled away by outsourcing MSU 21-3 to build a 21-10 lead to coast to a win.
