This matchup, known as the Battle Line Rivalry, has been played 15 times since the first meeting in 1906 and became a regular matchup when Missouri joined the SEC in 2014. Missouri leads the all-time series 10-4, including an 8-2 record in the divisional matchups, with an additional win in 2016 that was later vacated due to NCAA violations.

Missouri won last year’s meeting 48-14. The Tigers leaned more on the run in that game as senior running back Cody Schrader went for 217 yards. Look for them to rely on the pass more this year, mainly with star receiver Luther Burden III. Last year Burden caught six passes for 55 yards in the matchup.

What has been an up-and-down season at times for Missouri has a chance to end on a high note. With a win the Tigers could reach double-digit wins in a bowl game, and would have their first consecutive 10-plus win seasons since 2013 and 2014.

The Tigers have alternated wins and losses in each of their last five games. That includes last week, when they beat Mississippi State 39-20 on the road. Meanwhile, Arkansas clinched bowl eligibility last week with a 35-14 win over Louisiana Tech.
