The College Football Playoff Selection Show will air live on Sunday to choose the 12-teams who will fight for a national championship.

A group of individuals known as the selection committee will get together and release their final rankings on Sunday on the CFP Selection Show, which will determine which teams make it into the bracket and who is left on the outside looking in. Under the 12‑team format, the five highest‑ranked conference champions receive automatic bids, and the next seven highest‑ranked teams receive at‑large spots. The four highest‑ranked teams earn first‑round byes, while seeds No. 5 through No. 12 play first‑round games on campus sites, followed by quarterfinals and semifinals hosted by major bowl games and then a national title game at a neutral site.

Indiana, Ohio State, Georgia, Texas Tech and Tulane look safest for College Football Playoff spots, while Oregon, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Duke headline the group still sweating heading into Selection Sunday. Indiana is the sport’s lone 13-0 team after winning the Big Ten and is widely viewed as the No. 1 overall seed lock.

Ohio State’s only loss came to Indiana in the league title game after an unbeaten regular season, keeping the Buckeyes firmly inside the field. Georgia repeated as SEC champ by dominating Alabama, cementing a top-four spot and a first-round bye. Texas Tech broke through with a 12-1 Big 12 title, giving the Red Raiders either the last bye or a home first-round game.

Oregon sits just outside the top four and is battling for seeding rather than simple inclusion. Ole Miss and Texas A&M, both in the committee’s top seven entering the week, are hoping results elsewhere keep them in the at-large mix. Tulane finished 11-2 and secured the American title, putting the Green Wave in prime position for the guaranteed Group of Five champion berth. That leaves ACC champ Duke and Sun Belt champ James Madison fighting for the final spot.
