SMU goes for its 10th straight win on Saturday night when it plays Clemson in the ACC Championship game.
The SMU Mustangs take on the Clemson Tigers on Saturday night in the ACC Championship game. The Mustangs, in their first year in the ACC, come into Saturday on a nine-game winning streak and 11-1 on the season. They finished a perfect 8-0 in the ACC and are coming off a dominating 38-6 win over Cal in their regular season finale. Their lone loss came way back on Sept. 6t when BYU beat them 18-15. Since that loss they have been perfect and have won all but two of their games by double digits. The Mustangs have been led by the duo of quarterback Kevin Jennings and running back Brashard Smith. Jennings has thrown for 2,746 yards and 19 touchdowns to just seven interceptions. Smith has rushed for 1,157 yards and 14 touchdowns. Roderick Daniels Jr., Key’Shawn Smith and Jordan Hudson have been the top targets this year, as they all have at least 30 receptions and they have combined for 12 touchdowns.

The Tigers will have to find a way to slow down the Mustangs offense if they want any shot at winning the ACC Championship and making it into the College Football Playoff.
The Tigers come into Saturday looking to bounce back after a loss to South Carolina. The loss to the Gamecocks hurt, but it was a non-conference game so it didn’t affect its chances of getting into the ACC title game.
The Tigers lost just one ACC game this year and that came at the hands of Louisville at the beginning of November. They would bounce back with three straight wins to give them a shot at making the conference title game.
Cade Klubnik has been great for the Tigers this year, as he has thrown for 3,041 yards and 29 touchdowns.
Phil Mafah has led the team in rushing, as he has gone for 1,078 yards and eight touchdowns. Klubnik has scored seven times on the ground also.
