In a rematch of one of the best games of last year, Colorado visits Colorado State on Saturday. Watch for free on Fubo.
The Rocky Mountain Showdown returns on Saturday when Colorado (1-1, 0-0 Big 12) visits Colorado State (1-1, 0-0 Mountain West) at Canvas Stadium for an in-state rivalry matchup. The meeting between these two teams in Boulder last year was one of the best games of the season. Early in the season the Buffaloes were still undefeated and ranked 18th overall as they welcomed the Rams to Folsom Field. However, Colorado State pushed head coach Deion Sanders‘ team to the brink in a very physical game, before the Buffaloes eventually won 43-35 in double overtime.

One thing Colorado will need to do better in this game is protect quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Sanders was sacked four times in last years matchup and took more big hits in the pocket. However, he still managed to complete 38 of his 47 pass attempts for 348 yards and four touchdowns with one interception.
On the other side Colorado State will need to a better job of holding onto the football, after turning it over four times in last year’s matchup. They’ll also need explosive plays to keep up with Colorado’s offense. Look for them to target wide receiver Tory Horton early and often. Horton – a projected top-50 pick in next year’s NFL Draft – had 16 catches for 133 yards and a touchdown in this game last year.
Coming into this matchup, both teams are 1-1. Colorado began the season by narrowly beating FCS powerhouse North Dakota State, then were on the wrong side of a 28-10 game against Nebraska last week. Colorado State opened the season getting shut out 52-0 against No. 2 Texas, then beat Northern Colorado 38-17 last week.
