These two will come into this game with the same 3-1 record. Both teams have lost to Big 12 foes this season. Fresno State lost its opener against Kansas 31-7, but the Bulldogs have won three in a row since. Hawaii has an impressive win over Standford to start the season. The Rainbow Warriors slipped up against Arizona the next week, but they’ve won two in a row since. This should be a very close game as the Bulldogs are just -2.5-point favorites on the road tonight. Hawaii is coming off a dominating defensive performance against Portland State at home last week, winning 23-3. The Rainbow Warriors kept the Vikings winless on the season, dropping to 0-4 in the process. Portland State wasn’t able to score until the third quarter. Hawaii’s defense was impressive, limiting its opponent to just 230 total yards. Hawaii got off to a slow start not scoring in the first quarter, but it quickly turned up the heat after that. QB Luke Weaver threw for 240 yards on 26-for-42 passing for two touchdowns. Cam Barfield went 50 yards for four receptions, catching both of those touchdowns from Weaver. The Rainbow Warriors will likely have to ramp it up even more on offense though, to keep up with these Bulldogs.

Fresno State has been prolific since losing its opener to Kansas. The Bulldogs exemplified that to perfection last week by beating Southern 56-7 last week. With that momentum alone, Fresno State should be the favorite tonight. QB E.J. Warner went off going 20-for-24 with four touchdowns. The Jaguars were only able to score in the second quarter, and were limited to just 142 yards in a complete performance from Fresno State. While this matchup against the Rainbow Warriors likely won’t be a track meet, expect another high-scoring game between these Mountain West foes.
