With the visitors coming in as the second-ranked team in the College Football Playoff standings, No. 2 Georgia heads on the road to face conference rival No. 16 Ole Miss in Oxford on Saturday. Coming in riding a four-game winning streak, the Bulldogs are in good position to earn a berth into the expanded CFP this season. Georgia is 7-1 overall with a 5-1 record in conference play. Georgia is also 4-1 between road and neutral site games away from Athens. Ole Miss, on the other hand, has won two consecutive games to improve to 7-2 overall with a 3-2 conference record. The Rebels are still within striking distance of the 12-team playoff. Last season, Georgia earned its 33rd win in the series history with a 52-17 beatdown of Ole Miss.

Most recently, Georgia took care of business in a 34-20 win on the road against Florida at EverBank Stadium last week. With the game tied at 20 in the fourth quarter, Georgia pulled away with a touchdown pass from QB Carson Beck to wide receiver Dominic Lovett followed by an interception that the Bulldogs turned into seven more points on a touchdown run from Dwight Phillips Jr. Georgia overcame three turnovers in the game to get the win. 

As for Ole Miss, the Rebels dominated Arkansas in a 63-31 beatdown in Fayetteville last week. Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart set a new single-game school passing record with 515 passing yards. Dart also threw for six touchdowns and Austin Simmons added another, tying the school record for passing touchdowns in a game (7).
