The Hope Flying Dutchmen take on the Calvin Knights on Saturday afternoon looking to win a ninth straight game. The Flying Dutchmen have been perfect on the season and come into Saturday 8-0 and it has helped them move into the top 20 of the latest rankings. The Flying Dutchmen have been dominant this season as they have won every game by at least 21 points and have scored 40 or more points in all but one game. The defense has been great all season as they have given up 18 or fewer points in every game and have given up less than 10 five times. Last week they won by 27 against Albion on Senior Day to win their eighth straight. They jumped out to a 21-0 lead at halftime and they didn’t let up in the second half to secure the 41-14 victory. They are now one win away from a MIAA Title and a playoff berth. They will have to do it on the road as their last two games of the season are away from home.

They got off to a great start as they whipped Oberlin in their first-ever game and then they beat Anderson in their third game 66-12 to open the season 3-1.

It has been tough season since, though, as they have lost their last five games. They have competitive in a couple of games as they lost to Kalamazoo by two points, Trine by five and Olivet by eight.
