Kansas State goes for its fifth straight win on Saturday afternoon when it visits Houston

The Kansas State Wildcats hit the road on Saturday afternoon to take on the Houston Cougars. The Wildcats come into Saturday on a four-game winning streak and 4-1 in the Big 12. The currently sit one game back in the loss column to both Iowa State and BYU and need to keep winning to keep their hopes of making the conference title game alive. They will play Iowa State in the last game of the season, but don’t play BYU so they can’t afford another Big 12 loss. It wasn’t easy getting their fourth straight win in their last game against rival Kansas. The Wildcats gave up two touchdowns in the third quarter and trailed 27-23 heading into the fourth. They were able to get two field goals from Chris Tennant in the final frame, though, to get the win. It was a back and forth game, but they got the win and are now looking to avoid a letdown on Saturday.

The Cougars, though, are looking to pick up a huge upset and ruin the Wildcats’ chances of making a run at the Big 12 title.

It hasn’t been a great year for the Cougars, but they did pick up a big 17-14 win over Utah last Saturday. The win was their second in the last three games after starting the year just 1-4.

Two of their three wins have come at home and they are hoping they can get a third on Saturday.

Zeon Chriss got the start at quarterback in the win over Utah, but he threw just 13 passes. Two of them did go for a touchdown, but they did most of their damage on the ground as they rushed for 230 yards on 49 carries.
