Penn State goes for its third straight win on Saturday when it welcomes Kent State to Happy Valley
The Penn State Nittany Lions battle the Kent State Golden Flashes on Saturday afternoon at home. The Nittany Lions are coming off a bye last week and are looking to win their second straight game against a MAC opponent. This week, though, they are hoping it is much easier than their last game. Two weeks ago they played Bowling Green and trailed by 10 early and by four at halftime. They turned things around in the second half and allowed just three points, but still only won 34-27. It was a tough game, but they still got the win and now sit at 2-0 on the season. Quarterback Drew Allar has looked good to start the year as he has thrown for 420 yards and five touchdowns in the firs ttwo games. Tyler Warren has been his top target as they have connected 11 times for 176 and a touchdown. Nicolas Singleton has been great on the ground as he has rushed for 233 yards on 26 carries and two touchdowns. He is averaging nine yards a carry.

The Golden Flashes are going to have their hands full trying to stop the Nittany Lions and pick up the huge upset.
The Golden Flashes have not been good to start the year as they have lost all three of their games and are coming off a 71-0 loss to Tennessee in which they gave up 65 first half points. It was a disastrous game in which they managed just 112 yards of total offense and gave up 740 yards.
Saturday is a new game, though, and they are hoping they can put up a better performance against a very good Nittany Lions team.
