    Louisiana Tech will head on the road in Week 10 of the college football season to take on Sam Houston at Elliot T. Bowers Stadium in Huntsville, Texas, on Tuesday night. The Bearkats are 6-2 overall this season and 3-1 against Conference USA teams tied for No. 2 in the conference with Liberty. They are behind undefeated Jacksonville State and Western Kentucky. Since conference play opened, they beat Texas State by one point 40-39 followed by UTEP 41-21.

    They lost their first conference game two weeks ago at home against Western Kentucky 31-14 before heading back on the road last week and beating Florida International 10-7 last Tuesday. This team is led by junior quarterback Hunter Watson. He has 987 yards on 84 completions for nine touchdowns and five interceptions. DJ McKinney, a true freshman, leads the ground game with 422 yards on 79 carries and three touchdowns.

    The Bulldogs are just under the .500 mark with an overall record of 3-4 and a conference record of 2-2 against CUSA teams. They opened conference play losing to Florida International at home 17-10 followed by a home win against Middle Tennessee State 48-21 in the next week. They stayed at home and lost a tough battle against New Mexico State 33-30 in double-overtime.

    Last week, they completed their three-game home stretch, winning 14-10 against UTEP last week. Evan Bullock, the team’s leader at quarterback, has 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns yet to throw an interception. His favorite target has been Tru Edwards. The senior receiver has 38 grabs for 486 yards and four scores.
