Louisiana Tech will head on the road in Week 10 of the college football season to take on Sam Houston at Elliot T. Bowers Stadium in Huntsville, Texas, on Tuesday night. The Bearkats are 6-2 overall this season and 3-1 against Conference USA teams tied for No. 2 in the conference with Liberty. They are behind undefeated Jacksonville State and Western Kentucky. They lost their first conference game two weeks ago at home against Western Kentucky 31-14 before heading back on the road last week and beating Florida International 10-7 last Tuesday. DJ McKinney, a true freshman, leads the ground game with 422 yards on 79 carries and three touchdowns.

They opened conference play losing to Florida International at home 17-10 followed by a home win against Middle Tennessee State 48-21 in the next week.
