In ACC action on Saturday afternoon, No. 19 Louisville visits Stanford for the first time after the Cardinal joined the conference this year.

It’ll be the Cardinals versus the Cardinal on Saturday afternoon in the ACC, when No. 19 Louisville (6-3, 4-2 ACC) makes the trip out west to visit Stanford (2-7, 1-5 ACC). This is the first ever matchup between these two teams, who are now conference foes after Stanford was one of the teams that joined the ACC this offseason. It will also be the first time that Louisville will make a full West Coast trip this season.

Louisville comes into this game off a bye week, going for its third win in a row. The Cardinals’ most recent game was an upset win on the road, when they beat Clemson 33-21. Louisville’s rushing attack was dominant in that game, accumulating 210 yards on the ground at 7.8 yards per carry.

In the pass game, Louisville is let by transfer quarterback Tyler Shough. He’s been one of the best quarterbacks in the ACC this year completing 63.2% of his passes for 2504 yards with 20 touchdowns and just five interceptions.

This week the Cardinals will face a Stanford team looking to put an end to a six game losing streak. The Cardinal were on a bye last week. In their most recent game they lost 59-28 at North Carolina State.

Kickoff for this one is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon. Jorge Sedano and Orlando Franklin will be on the call on the ACC Network.
