On Thursday night, No. 18 Tulane (9-2, 7-0 AAC) wraps up its regular season at home when Memphis (9-2, 5-2 AAC) pays the Green Wave a Thanksgiving visit at Yulman Stadium. While this is the final scheduled home game of the year for the Green Wave, they can earn themselves one more contest in New Orleans this week. With a win over Memphis, Tulane would clinch home-field advantage in the AAC Conference Championship Game, meaning they’d host Army next week instead of having to go all the way north to West Point.

Also at stake for Tulane is a second consecutive season without a loss in conference play. In fact, the Green Wave haven’t lost a regular season conference game since a 38-31 defeat at the hands of then-No. 22 UCF on Nov. 12 2022 – 747 days ago. However, they did lose in the conference championship last year, falling 26-14 to SMU at home.

Tulane had an extra week to prepare for this big game. The last time the Green Wave were on the field was last Saturday, when they shut out Navy 35-0 to clinch their AAC Championship Game appearance.

Memphis comes in well rested off a bye as well. The Tigers also blew a team out in their last game, putting up a season high in points as they beat UAB 53-18.

Expect the scoreboard to be lit up in this game as well. These are the two highest-scoring teams in the AAC. Tulane leads the conference averaging 40.5 points per game, with Memphis in second place adding 35.3.
