North Dakota State hosts Mercer on Saturday afternoon in the FCS Division 1 Quarterfinals. Watch the game live for free on Fubo.

The North Dakota State Bison battle the Mercer Bears on Saturday afternoon with a berth in the Final Four on the line. The Bison shook off a slow start last Saturday to beat Abilene Christian in the second round of the playoffs. They Bison had lost their last game of the season to South Dakota, but they got back on track against the Wildcats. It didn’t look goo early as they trailed 17-3 early in the second quarter, but Jackson Williams returned the ensuing kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown and it sparked the Bison. They would score the next 31 points to take a 34-17 lead and then held off a Wildcats rally to get the 51-31 win. The Bison have been led by quarterback Cam Miller and running back CharMar Brown this season. Miller has thrown for 2,614 yards and 26 touchdowns, while Brown has rushed for 1,023 yards and 14 touchdowns. Bryce Lane has been Miller’s top target this year as they have connected 55 times for 748 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The Bears will have to find a way to slow down the potent Bison offense if they want to have any shot to pull off the big upset and make the semifinals. The Bears come into Saturday 11-2 on the season and fresh off a tough 17-10 win over Rhode Island last Saturday.

They trailed the Rams 10-7 heading into the fourth quarter, but got a Adjatay Dobbs touchdown from Whitt Newbauer to take the lead and then Reice Griffith added a field goal to give them the seven-point win.

The Bears have used a two quarterback system this season as Newbauer and D.J. Smith have passed for 1,308 and 1,304 yards respectively. They have combined for 20 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
