The Tennessee Volunteers will try to avoid looking ahead when they take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday night. The Volunteers have a huge game with Georgia next Saturday but first need to make sure they get a win over the Bulldogs on Saturday. The Volunteers come into Saturday on a three-game winning streak and are still in the mix for a berth in the SEC Championship game. They are currently 4-1 in conference play and are tied in the loss column with Georgia, Texas A&M, Texas and LSU. They have been led by quarterback Nico Iamaleava who has thrown for 1,705 yards and nine touchdowns. He has spread the ball around as four different players have at least 17 receptions and 240 yards. Dylan Sampson has been the lead guy on the ground this year as he has rushed for 980 yards and 19 touchdowns.

The Bulldogs will have their hands full trying to stop the Volunteers offense as they look to pick up the huge upset and get their first SEC win of the year.
The Bulldogs did snap a seven-game losings streak last Saturday when they beat UMass 45-20, but they sill find themselves just 2-7 on the season and 0-5 in the SEC.
They have played a couple of teams tough as they lost to Georgia and Texas A&M by 10 in both games, but they have struggled on defense and it has doomed them. They have given up at least 30 points in all of their losses.
