Penn State goes for its third straight win on Saturday afternoon when it visits Minnesota

The Penn State Nittany Lions play their final road game of the regular season on Saturday afternoon when they visit the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The Nittany Lions come into Saturday on a two-game winning streak and 9-1 in the Big Ten. They are still in the hunt for the College Football Playoff and Big Ten Championship, but need to win out and get a little help. They currently sit behind Oregon and Indiana in the conference standings and tied with Ohio State with one loss, but they lost to the Buckeyes so they need them to lose again. The Nittany Lions looked great last weekend as they had little trouble in beating Purdue 49-10. They gained 539 yards and didn’t play a lot of their starters in the fourth quarter in the blowout win over the Boilermakers. They will wrap up their regular season next week with a home game against Maryland, but first want to avoid the upset against Minnesota on Saturday.
