The SMU Mustangs take on the Louisville Cardinals in ACC football action on Saturday afternoon. The Mustangs come into Saturday 4-1 on the season and 1-0 in the ACC. They played their first ever ACC game last Saturday and passed with flying colors as they whipped struggling Florida State 42-16. The win was their second in a row after they beat TCU in a shootout 66-42 the week before. Their lone loss came back on September 6th when they fell to BYU 18-15. The offense has been great outside of that game. They have been led by quarterback Kevin Jennings and running back Brashard Smith. Jennings has thrown for 733 and six touchdowns. Smith has 509 yards on the ground and seven touchdowns. He is averaging 7.3 yards per carry.

The Cardinals are going to have to find a way to slow the duo down if they want to have any shot of beating the Mustangs and staying undefeated in the ACC.

The Cardinals come into Saturday looking to bounce back from a 31-24 loss to Notre Dame. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Cardinals and dropped them to 3-1 on the season.

The Cardinals opened the season with three straight wins, the last of which was against Georgia Tech two weeks ago. They beat the Yellow Jackets 31-19 in their ACC opener.

Tyler Shough has been great for the Cardinals this season as he has thrown for 1,114 yards and 11 touchdowns to lead Louisville to the hot start.
