The Black Knights opened the season a perfect 9-0 for the first time in decades and are looking to run the table in conference play as well (7-0). However, Army fell in a blowout loss to No. 6 Notre Dame last week, with the Irish handing the Knights their first loss of the season. Army is 9-1 overall and a perfect 5-0 at home. UTSA, on the other hand, is riding a three-game winning streak with a 6-5 overall record and a 4-3 mark in conference play. Last season, Army won this matchup for a third time with a 37-29 victory at UTSA.

Most recently, Army got a dose of reality when it fell to No. 6 Notre Dame by a final score of 49-14 at Yankee Stadium last week. Army quarterback Bryson Daily finished the game with 139 rushing yards and two scores, tying a single-season school record with his eighth 100-yard rushing game of the season. But the Black Knights defense couldn’t slow down the Irish, with Notre Dame tallying 462 total yards of offense in the game. 

As for UTSA, the Roadrunners set records in a 51-27 victory over Temple at home last week in the Alamodome. UTSA tied a school record by winning its tenth home game in a row and ensured that they were bowl eligible for the fifth straight season.
