No. 4 seed Arizona State meets No. 5 seed Texas in the CFP quarterfinals in Atlanta on Wednesday.

With the first-ever 12-team college football playoff reaching the quarterfinals, No. 5 seed Texas squares off against No. 4 seed Arizona State at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Wednesday in the Peach Bowl. Despite being the 12th-ranked team in the nation, fourth-seeded Arizona State was given a first-round bye in the college football playoff after winning the Big 12 championship over Iowa State last month. The Sun Devils are riding a six-game winning streak with a 11-2 overall record and a 5-2 mark in road or neutral site games this season. Texas, on other hand, is the third-ranked team nationally and defeated No. 12 seed Clemson in the first round of the CFP. The Longhorns are 12-2 with a 5-1 road and neutral site record this season. This is the second-ever meeting between these two teams and the first since 2007.
