No. 24 Army hosts Tulane on Friday night with the AAC Championship on the line.
For the third year in a row and third time in program history, Tulane (9-3, 7-1) will play for the AAC Championship. The Green Wave will look to make it two wins in three years after losing this game to SMU last year. Unlike the last two years though, this time the Green Wave has to go on the road – and to a difficult environment. They’ll be making the trip all the way up to West Point, New York to take on the Black Knights of No. 24 Army (10-1, 8-0), who are appearing in this game for the first time in their first year as a member of the AAC.

Army’s lone blemish so far this season came two weeks ago when the Black Knights fell 49-14 to No. 6 Notre Dame. Outside of that, they outscored opponents by an average of almost three touchdowns per game. Even with the Notre Dame game, the Black Knights rank 12th in the nation with a plus-15.9 scoring margin for the season. However, they still have one game to play after this, the annual Army-Navy Game, which takes place the week after conference championships.
As for Tulane, a 1-2 start to the season was followed by a stretch of eight wins in a row. However, the Green Wave came up short last week in a 34-24 loss to Memphis. That was their first conference loss in over two years and cost them a chance to host this game.
