Boston College looks like a completely reinvigorated program under new head coach and NFL mainstay Bill O’Brien. The Eagles went 7-6 last season and even won a bowl game but decided to move on head coach Jeff Hafley in his fourth season. The Eagles were immediately rewarded with a win over No. 10 Florida State. Boston College has only lost one game this season to No. 11 Missouri and are 3-1 after winning two in a row since. Boston College beat Michigan State at home last week 23-19 after it was down three with just four minutes left in the game. In the Eagles’ ensuing drive, Thomas Castellanos connected with Lewis Bond for a 42-yard touchdown pass with just over a minute left to play to take the lead and complete a 75 drive. The win was even more impressive as it was Michigan State’s first loss of the season. The Eagles will be a much bigger favorite in this one with a -11 point advantage for this afternoon matchup.

Western Kentucky might be a big underdog today but the Hilltoppers have the same 3-1 record as the Eagles. Western Kentucky stayed undefeated at home beating Toledo 26-21 last week. The Rockets put the Hilltoppers in a big hole getting up 14-0 but Western Kentucky kept fighting back and scored a touchdown right before half to bring the game within a score. Western Kentucky only gave up one touchdown the rest of the way to allow room to pull off the comeback. Caden Veltkamp was the MVP for Western Kentucky after he threw for a score and ran for two fourth-quarter touchdowns. The Hilltoppers will need to rely on their defense even more today to pull off this upset on the road.
